Nature Baby

So I've been described as a nature baby. I love the outdoors!! Give me a tent and a campfire and I'm a happy girl. No running water? No problem!

Then there is my sweet fiance who I love dearly... tent camping... no way... no running water... major issue. LOL That's ok, I still love him :) He's a trooper and agreed to go "camping" again with me this summer. We are using his definition of camping though. We have electricity, walls, and running water... yup we're CAMPING! We found a place to stay in the Adirondacks via ADK by owner. If you are planning a trip and want to stay in a house/cabin this is the place to check out!

We'll be staying in a cabin on a private 15 acres of land! Running water, pond access, ADK chairs, hiking trails all included :) Can't wait to get out there! We'll have access to a full kitchen in the cabin too, so I'll be taking pictures of our adventures and posting as I can next week. I'll probably be a little quiet on the comments on all your blogs next week but don't worry I'll be back!

While we are there we plan on taking lots of hikes! The pictures below are a pretty good explanation of our last ADK vacation... even though I'm the "experience" nature baby... I kept getting us lost for some reason HAHAH But John always managed to find the trail again :)

Oh if you are wondering about the jam exchange write up... I'm waiting on some more pictures to come in while I'm away next week, so I'll post the whole shebang once I'm back!!

Camping is totally apart of who I am... roughing it or with a few luxuries (there's nothing like a real toilet..) haha!! Enjoy the trip, it sounds wonderful!!!!!!!!! :)

Have fun! I'm with John on this, I like "camping" rather than really roughing it:) However...the outdoor cooking thing is fun! You could make some really fun things out there, or, some great s'mores!

I'm completely with John on the "camping" too. They don't call me Diva for nothin'! LOL

Love the sound of a cabin in the ADKs though. Have a wonderful time and may you be blessed with the glorious weather for your adventures!

Yeah. Twins thing. Again. I went camping earlier this month in Alberta. Loved it. Hope you have just as good a time at the cabin!

Camping is about the last thing I would want to do (not really the outdoors-y type), but you make it look like so much fun!

Haha, I have to say...I'm not a nature baby...I like to observe them, but at the comfort of a bed, inside a nice house...
But you guys seem like you are having so much fun, it's infectious!

One of the best experiences a gal ca HAVE? A LONG solo hike when the lover isn't into it, and returning to a meal he cooked....if he isn't into the outdoors, maybe he can spend more energy INDOORS???
Have fun!

Have a fantastic time!
I'm also going WAAAAAY up north this week. Am hoping to enjoy a bit of nature with a friend of mine. Even though we'll have indoor plumbing, etc. we'll be doing lots of campfire cooking. There's nothing like it, after all.

Can't wait for that jam write-up!!

How fun! I was never a nature perso until recently and I'm still getting used to it. But I have definitely been enjoying the great outdoors!

I love camping, and thankfully so does my boyfriend. We camped for 6 weeks straight round New Zealand, and it was amazing. I'm sure your fiance will love the cabin as soon as he's there, and the great outdoors might even make him consider a proper camping trip soon! x
