all I have to say is ... YUM!
Maria's Turkey Burger
In a large sauce pan brown garlic and onion in a little olive oil, then add spinach, cook until wilted. Set aside in a large bowl and let cool
drizzle olive oil
1 small onion diced
4 cloves garlic
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 package baby spinach
Then toss the following into the cooled spinach mixture
1 lb lean ground turkey
1/2 cup feta cheese
Gently mix and then form into burgers. Refrigerate for 20 minutes (this helps them hold together when you grill them) and then cook on the grill until no longer pink in the middle.

ReplyDeletethese sound really good, I must try it Rebecca
ReplyDeleteI dont know why I read your blog in the morning, honestly. Why am I craving a burger at 8am? Haha - looks great as always sister!
ReplyDeleteOh man, why do you have to post such yummy stuff in the morning? I want this instead of the yogurt I planned on eating.
ReplyDeleteTasty, healthy and full of my favorite flavors.
ReplyDeleteDid you check out my weekend round up? Wow! Great minds think alike...
ReplyDeleteTotally email me a recipe and a photo of a meal you like to savour solo to enter my new challenge!

What a great looking burger, that sounds like a slider recipe to me.
ReplyDeleteI love how thick the burger looks! I've never had a turkey burger before. I actually didn't know it could be done until I started watching the food network. I suggested it to my mom and she was like.. that's way too lean! She has a difficult time with buying extra lean ground beef too. I'm always trimming off the thick white blocks of fats from our steaks before we cook them. What am I going to do with my fat loving family.. haha.
ReplyDeleteI just came across a package of frozen spinach in my freezer this afternoon. This would be a great way to use it.
ReplyDeleteLove feta in burgers. Any cheese actually. Adds a natural, salty flavor.
ReplyDeleteBetween the burgers themselves and those brussels sprout chips, I'm totally drooling.
ReplyDeleteYummy yummy yummy!!! I made something very similar to this a couple of months ago in the form of a meatball - but I believe I used lamb. You are awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love these - especially with the feta!
