chow chow chow

So I'm tagging along on a business trip with John for the beginning of this week... and I forgot my camera cord... yup so no pictures for you yet, sorry about that. But I do want to tell you about this amazing appetizer I had last night. They were like buffalo wings... except they were shrimp. SO GOOD!

Seriously jumbo gigantic shrimp with a barley there crust, drenched in buffalo wing sauce, and then topped off with blue cheese dressing and some crumbles of blue cheese. A-freakin-MAZING!!

Have you ever had a buffalo wing hybrid shrimp? I don't know why I never thought of this on my own. I need to go make some once we're back in Rochester for sure :)

If you are out and about, what's your favorite appetizer to order?

that sounds awesome! we have some shrimp right now...I might have to experiment :)

my favorite appetizer out is probably fresh hummus and pita...or any kind of flatbread!

Used to be fried mozzarella but no gluten means no appetizers for me most of the time.

Cooking shrimp that way is a good idea for a party. Nice one. Love to check out a good spinach artichoke dip, chicken wings or cheese plate. They're all so different, right? :)

I usually opt for a salad as an app., unless we're someplace with really interesting appetizers. Then, the sky's the limit! LOL

Wow, that sounds really good! My fave appetizer is sweet potato/yam fries or a big plate of veggies with hummus :)

They have those at Brennen's in Williamsville - my husband orders them every time we go!

Oh, that sounds good! I've never had buffalo'd shrimp... but I love a good fried calimari. Seems a lot of places have it on the menu, but very few do it up absolutely right. Light breading, not greasy... and not rubbery! Inventive sauces also make the experience, in my book!

I'm allergic to shellfish so shrimp's out for me, of course... but I love buffalo chicken wings. Hubby's become an expert at making them on the grill so all the skin loses its fat and gets so crispy and ...just yum. One of my comfort foods, definitely.
