Peanut Butter

PEANUT!!! PEANUT BUTTER... and Jelly! Anyone? Anyone?? Come on you know you know the song right??? Fine I'll just sing it at the top of my lungs over here...

OK so false advertising... there is no jelly in these cookies... but you know what, I love the song so, whatever, you get to deal with my singing... aren't you glad I don't have audio on this blog... otherwise you'd actually have to HEAR me... *all readers get up and run away screaming*

It sure seems like I've been making a lot of "thank you" cookies lately... and depending on how it goes with my car (YES IT'S FREAKIN BACK AT THE SHOP) I may have to make those guys some... we shall see! It's a rather amusing issue... the turn signal stick relay thingy (so technical I know) basically burned out... aka my blinker wouldn't turn off and then when I clicked it back and forth to stop it, it sparked and started to smoke! FUN!! My mechanic asked if it smelled like cookies AHAHAH I said "nope! I WISH!!" guess that means they want cookies next time huh?? I'm going to ask if we can start a cookie payment plan, I'll pay for the parts, and then I'll pay for their labor in cookies... sounds like a good idea to me right??

Onto the cookies! I love peanut butter and this recipe is a full on not healthy one! Enjoy!

Peanut Butter Cookies
I have no idea where this came from, it was scratched down on a random sheet of scrap paper in my "binder" of random recipes

Take the following and beat it in a bowl until creamy
1/2 cup peanut butter (I used all natural chunky YUM)
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cups brown sugar

Then take the following and gently stir in (if you are feeling feisty toss in some chocolate chips at this point)
2/3 cup whole wheat flour

Back at 350 for 15 minutes or until nicely browned.

CHOW!!!

Thanks for getting that song stuck in my head :) It made em think of another classic... "If all the raindrops where lemon drops and gum drops, oh what a raint hat would be." Or even better, "NOODLE, do the noodle dance." ARGH! Now I've got that one in my head too!

as you can imagine I am pretty much obsessed with these :D

ahh i bet those people are so happy to receive these!

Definitely know that song. If we sing it, will you ship a dozen cookies out today?

Oh my god - I totally love that song! Going to be singing it all day though I can't seem to get past the 1st part

Sometimes a girl really needs a full on, not healthy cookie ... like me right now for instance! :)

One quick question ... are we tossing in 2/3 cup whole wheat flour? I assume so, just checking.

Lastly ... I don't know the song ... should I be glad about that?! LOL

yum. i'm having a slight peanut butter crisis this week, as in, i have none left in the house. i went to make sesame-peanut noodles on sunday and was scraping my last jar clean. that should never happen in my house.

It's been awhile since I've made peanut butter cookies. And here I thought I was done baking for the week... looks like I'm not!

For a cookie, that doesn't sound that unhealthy to me (no butter and no white flour). More important, it sounds absolutely delicious!

Justin- oh no!! I'm having a mystery butter crisis haha. The co-op hasn't had the cashew/sunflower blend of mystery butter for awhile and I'm going nuts without it!!

Mags- Always room for more baking!!! Even though it's in the 80's out... darn heat

Caddie- True enough... but I could have replaced the sugar with honey or something a little less refined :) or something totally chemical like splenda LOL

5 star foodie- I bet yours will be totally gourmet and delicious!

I love peanut butter cookies, with or without flour, whatever, peanut butter is awesome. I went through a phase a few years ago of eating a whole jar every few days. Yikes! Glad that's over.
