Beautiful personalized plates, a giveaway, and a recipe
I have the most talented 11 month old nephew. He went on etsy and sent me this beautiful plate with "chow" written on it! How smart is that kid! He knows me so well!
Walton did have some help though, Janet at Custom Sepia did an amazing job. So amazing in fact, I wanted you all to meet her and check out her shop! She has a great selection of plates and platters that she will happily personalize for you. Having a hard time thinking up a good gift for someone? Do they like to cook and entertain? Now onto the recipe that I made to celebrate this beautiful plate.
Tomato, Spinach, and Goat cheese stacks
Take a big juicy tomato and slice it up.
Place some baby spinach leaves on top of the tomatoes.
Top off with the fried goat cheese and drizzle with some balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil, crack some fresh pepper on top for good measure.
To make the cheese
Slice a log of goat cheese into medallions, dunk into a bowl with a beaten egg white, then dunk into a bowl with whole wheat bread crumbs/salt/pepper. Dip back into the egg white and then back into the breadcrumbs. Place in a frying pan with a spray of olive oil. Cook one side until browned, flip and brown the other side.
CHOW!!!
OK lets face it, the stacks are pretty... but I'm here eating these alone... so why bother with the formality... toss a bunch more on the plate and chow down!

I've always loved square plates. I would choose the pot luck plate with the family name on it.

Hey Steph, great post as usual. Love the stacks on the new plate... great dinner party appetizer. Speaking of which, my favorite plates were the conversation starters. I love the friendship plates: what a wonderful idea! The butterfly plates are also beautiful as well... its hard to chose a favorite!

What a great idea! I love these plates. I think my favorite item is the conversation starter appetizer plates. We all know it can be awkward sometimes at dinner parties, so this would be a great way to get things going. I would choose the appetizer plates and have my blog name, 'Healthy Chow' placed on the side (just like yours) so that it shows in pictures. Thank you!

The family platter is great! My plate would say, "Holy Yum"- same as veggiegirl, but it's become a common phrase in my vocabulary!

I really love the modern butterfly salad/appetizer/dessert plates. While I also like the one's with words - including your "chow" plate and her "feast" plate - I like that these are simple and very pretty. I'm a baker, and I would love to display something sweet on those plates!
