John makes dinner
Mezzetta sent me a fantastic gift box a few weeks ago... seriously it was probably the three best items they could have ever sent me. Roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, and arrabbiata sauce!!!
John was also super excited.. I mean these are three of his all time favorite ingredients! He said I could take the night off and he'd cook something up for us... however after I snuck in to take a few shots... he informed me I couldn't post the pic of him.... after a heated debate (not really) we came to this compromise!
Now onto what he did, he cooked up some of the peppers and artichoke hearts with a little white wine and a lot of garlic. Then he added in some talapia fillets until they were cooked through.
Meanwhile he boiled up some whole wheat gnocchi, and warmed up the arrabbiata sauce in another sauce pan.
Stack it all up for a delicious, satisfying meal!!
Obviously we ate from bigger plates... but it's just so cute plated on a tiny little one bite plate :) We agreed that all of Mezzetta's products were over the top delicious!! And I must confess I went a little nutty over how good the artichoke hearts were. YUM!!
What would you have made with these tasty treats?

I would be happy with that one!
Wow... the food looks nice... I just love Arrabiata.
By the way, Happy New Year!!
I'm a little concerned that John may have jaundice.
This looks delicious Steph. I love artichokes too!
That looks so good! I wish someone cooked for me on occassion! If I had those three ingredients I would have probably made a pizza with chicken and feta cheese.
OMG, what a hilarious picture! I love it!
And I really love Mezzetta. They send me some stuff a few month ago and the sauce was incredible. What a beautiful meal! :)
Mmm that looks fantastic!!
Aw, how sweet! I've found that food often tastes better when someone else will make it for you. ;)
That looks absolutely delicious! I probably would of tossed everything together with some pasta. I wouldn't have been so creative.
yum! those are also some of my favorites! and don't you love nights when the hubby cooks?! :)
your blog is making me so hungry! fabulous!

Definitely a pasta or bruschetta! It took two years before my boyfriend finally caved and let me post a picture of him on my blog. Usually I just get to post hand model shots. Ha ha.

That meal looks delicious! And so awesome that he cooked for you :) I think a pizza with those ingredients would be fab, too!
what a fantastic dinner! Lucky you - first of all to get those ingredients in the mail, and second of all to have the husband cook such a delicious meal for you!
I would have made a pasta dish as well, perhaps with some capers thrown in.
looks delicious i love to cook and will try this... you have a great blog... x pam
I agree with your methodology...throw'em together! My hubby is weird about pictures too. Weird!
Oh my gosh, I'm not sure which ingredient wins as the most delicious! I love all 3 also. I'd probably add eggplant into the mix somehow since it's one of my favorite dishes. Maybe a panini with roasted eggplant, the peppers, artichokes, mozzarella and the sauce. Or an eggplant lasagna with the arrabiata and peppers, using the artichokes as an app!
love the little plates and the smiley face!
